The Shadow is a fan-made easter egg/antagonist in Abandoned: Discovery Island.
Appearance[]
The Shadow appears to be the apparition of a Mickey-like suit, that is entirely pitch black. He two piercing white beady eyes, with razor sharp pure white teeth. His eyes are close together, but his teeth are spread far apart.
Behavior[]
The Shadow is an easter egg character, and can only appear rarely. Although he is an easter egg, he is still a hostile antagonist. When appearing in the far back of the Office, the player must quickly flip the camera monitor up or hide under their desk to get rid of him, as failing to do so will result in a game crash.
He takes another appearance, and that is of a large head that appears in front of the desk. The player can do the same thing to get rid of him (i.e. flipping up the monitor or hiding), but failing to do so will result in a kill-screen jumpscare instead of a game crash. This jumpscare is a single image of The Shadow's face behind a red background. The image starts out as photo-negative, but quickly fades to normal colors, and then slowly disappears. This jumpscare is meant to distract the player from their surroundings, making them vulnerable to other characters.
