* Overview

The Original is a character inspired on "The Face" whom he shares similarities with. The Original is never seen properly standing up and he has a pattern approach to the office.

* Behavior

The Original will start off-camera in the Staff Area and will not become active until Night 4. When he has become active, he'll proceed to peek from the Staff Area door; this gives the player an opportunity to prepare for his next move. So far there are three phases The Original goes through before appearing in the office:

1. The Original is peeking from the Staff Area doorway.

2. The Original is seen crawling out of the room.

3. The Original will stare directly at the camera. He's seen sitting on the floor in this phase.

Once The Original has reached the third phase, he will immediately teleport to The Office once the player lowers their camera. The player can get rid of him by Turning off the power for a couple seconds. Turning off a camera while The Original is in the office will trigger a Jumpscare and subsequently a Game Over.

When The Original is active, a random voice line will play for each stage of his activation. These sound cues can come in very handy to keep track of The Original. The following voice lines are:

"I was the first."

"I refuse to forget, and to be forgotten."

"When the creation is abandoned, does it all just vanish?"

"I persist."

"He is not nice."

* Appearance

The Original has a striking resemblance to The Face, having wide eye sockets and humanoid eyeballs. The Original seems to not have legs, and his pants have a weird texture as if they were melting. A unique trait is that The Original is never seen standing up at any point in the game in comparison to The Face who can be seen standing in one of the rooms in Pirate Caverns.

* Locations

The Original's starting location is the Staff Area. it's the only place where he'll be found in all three of his phases. Once The Original has reached the third phase and the player lowers their camera, he'll teleport to the office without prior warning.

* Trivia

• The Original was first created in Gimp 2; originating from an edit of The Face.
• Some time after, Bloomdotwav became P.N.M.'s friend on Steam where they discussed about the character. P.N.M. later made a 3D model in Blender for the character.
• P.N.M. stated "The Original" could potentially become an Easter egg in Abandoned: Discovery Island.
  • This wasn't possible and ended up not happening.

• Bloomdotwav created The Original during her free time, out of boredom.
• The Original's name is a reference to Oswald the Rabbit, who was the first character created by Walt Disney.
  • Coincidentally, there's a character named "The Original" from the Five Nights at Freddy's fangame: Five Nights at Tubbyland 3: The End Game.
• The render for The Original was done by P.N.M.
• The Original's quote "He is not nice." is probably directed toward The Face. This could be in reference to how he was pushed out of the spotlight by his more famous counterpart and holds resentment over it.
  • It also could be a reference to Willy's quote "He isn't nice," where he supposedly refers to Jake.
• Classic Oswald, a long time friend of Bloomdotwav assisted on the creation of The Original.
• His voicelines are recorded, edited and uploaded by the user VictorCuddles126, since there's no actual sounds of him after all those years.
• It is possible The Original will make a significant return in a future unknown project (as of 2021).
